As a person who likes to write mostly as a way of coping with emotionally charged situations and in an effort to relate to my fellow humans on whatever level each individual can relate to, I find that sleeping, not sleepwalking, at night is the rest most needed for all of the pro-active energy expended not being a couch potato.

Always A Poet

Sometimes a poet
Has to speak
What you don't
Want to hear.

Sometimes a poet
Uplifts the meek
When you won't
Give a prayer.

Always a poet
Stands alone
When they sit
And write.

Always a poet
Longs for home
Only to submit
At night.
